UPDATE FROM THE MAYOR
I wanted to take a moment and offer my thanks and gratitude to Crystal Walter for her serving on the Clearwater City Council. Crystal began in January 2021 when she was appointed to Council to complete the term of Yvonne Coon. She was then elected in 2022 to her current term. Crystal advised the Council on July 8th that due to personal reasons and a job change the family is moving out of Clearwater. State statute requires all members of our City Council to be a resident of the City. At the meeting on Tuesday, Crystal offered her letter of resignation where she stated, “It has been an honor to serve the Council and will always have fond memories of living in Clearwater and serving on the Council.”
On behalf of the entire governing body and the community, I want to offer our best wishes to Crystal and her family and thanks for her valuable service!
In compliance with state statute, I will be presenting a replacement for her seat to council for consideration within the next 60 days.
Thank you,
Burt Ussery, Mayor
