Crystal Walter

Crystal Walter has lived in the Park Glen development with her husband Eric and her two children, for the past 14 years. She has a deep appreciation for Clearwater and all it has to offer families of all ages. Crystal has two children aged 17 and 15 who have spent their whole lives in the Clearwater school district. Crystal and her family have enjoyed many aspects of Clearwater life, from walking in the Halloween parade and participating in the Christmas celebrations to attending the Clearwater Fall Fest. The Walter’s have frequented the Library, used the sports complex and the swimming pool, as well as taking walks along the trails.

Crystal has a degree in Journalism from Kansas State University. Most of her professional life has been spent working in a marketing and sales capacity. Crystal is currently the Director of Marketing for a manufacturing company called PWI, Inc located in Wichita. Before that, she worked from home placing foreign exchange students in homes all across the state, including several who were hosted by families here in Clearwater. Crystal also worked in marketing at the Wichita Art Museum and at Shell Oil, when they were doing test drilling in south central Kansas.

Crystal has also have volunteered in various capacities around Clearwater. She devoted many hours to her church as worship leader and elder. She has also volunteered at the high school, coaching students in the entrepreneur classes as well as judging forensics tournaments.

Crystal has an interest in serving the community. She has many ideas to help improve our city, like upgrades and additions to the sports complex. She would like to establish more amenities for retired couples and empty nesters. She also believes that the City itself is very marketable and more people would live here, if they were aware of everything Clearwater has to offer. She would also like to work on promoting our town to people across the state as a viable living option to larger suburbs of Wichita like Derby, Maize and Andover.

Crystal truly believes that Clearwater’s small town living and strategic location make it the best of both worlds to potential families looking at moving to the Wichita community.
