Parks

The City of Clearwater maintains 52.4 acres of parks. This area includes the Chisholm Trail Sports Complex west of the current high school and the City Park on the north side of Ross Avenue between 1st and 4th Avenues. The park area consists of 8.6% of developed land within the City of Clearwater and 2.4 acres per 100 residents.

Shelter House Reservations

The City Park Shelter House may be reserved for family gatherings, birthday parties, meetings, and picnics. You can check availability for each shelter on the Facilites Page by looking at the calendar and seeing what is available and filling out the reservation request.

Ball Field Reservations

The City of Clearwater has 4 diamonds. 3 are located in the Chisholm Trail Sports complex and 1 is in the City Park. If you would like to reserve the fields please go to this Reserve Baseball/Softball   page and request the date and time you are wishing to reserve if it is available. Please note that it is against City Code to drive any vehicle on any public greenspace. If you are wanting to reserve the fields for a tournament or a game and are not part of the School or the Recreation teams, you will need to fill out the Application - Ball Field Application. The Chisholm Trail Sports Complex is used by USD264 as their main fields for high school ball and also by the Chisolm Trail Recreation Commission for their spring ball. Priority for field use is as follows: 

1st priority – USD 264 interscholastic athletic events
2nd priority – Clearwater Recreation Commission youth & adult baseball/softball leagues
3rd priority – City of Clearwater activities
4th priority – Clearwater non-profit organizations
5th priority – Clearwater individuals, Clearwater for profit organizations
6th priority – Out of town organizations or individuals
