Emergency Medical Service

The Clearwater Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Department provides Type I advanced life support to the City of Clearwater and the surrounding rural areas of Sedgwick and Sumner counties.

Equipment & Personnel

Clearwater EMS maintains and equips one ALS ambulance and one BLS ambulance located at the EVS building at 319 West Ross Avenue. Volunteers are Kansas certified Mobile Intensive Care Technicians (Paramedics) and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) who staff the ALS and BLS units.

The EMS personnel are more than “just ambulance driver’s”. They are highly trained professionals that can provide a broad range of emergency treatment including: 

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Advanced Pediatric Life Support
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) Monitoring and Defibrillation
  • Intravenous Medications
  • Neonatal Resuscitation
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Care
