A great number of pets find their way into local animal shelters each year without any form of identification. Purchasing a pet license from the City of Clearwater will ensure that your special companion can be returned home quickly and safely. It is so easy and gives you an inexpensive insurance policy for your pet’s safety as well as peace of mind should it become lost.
Plus, it’s the law! The Clearwater City Code requires all dogs over the age of 6 months to be licensed. Licenses are valid for one calendar year, renewable each January.
$6 for each dog that has been spayed or neutered.
$10 for each dog that has not been spayed or neutered.
Limit on Number of Dogs & Cats
The City of Clearwater allows no more than three dogs or three cats, or a combination of dogs and cats that total more than five, over the age of six months at any one premises or location.
